Name: Samantha Tolson
Nicknames(s): “No Gimmicks Needed”
Age: 25
Height: 5’ 8”
Weight: 158 lbs.
Hometown/Billed from: Jefferson City, Missouri
Alignment/Gimmick:
Samantha is a face without a real “schtick” to her, with the exception that she doesn’t really have a gimmick. She’s simply a straight-up pit bull who loves to fight, has been trained in mat-based wrestling, Lucha Libre, and Strong Style, and is a hundred percent business in the ring.
Picbase(s): Chloe Bennet (Skye/Daisy from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D):

Entrance Music: “Hey Hey” by Superchick
Entrance:
[The lights go down in the arena, and the hard guitar opening of Superchick's "Hey Hey"
begins to filter through the sound system.]
Some people you can never please
You might as well just let them be
They mock everything not their own
From their imaginary throne
(whispered)
But I won't bow down
Even if the whole world
Thinks I'm crazy
[Samantha Tolson then steps out onto the entryway, throwing a couple of gentle punches at
the air, then a kick or two before raising her arms to the cheering crowd.]
So hey hey
This song is for us
So put your hands in the air
If you're crazy like us
Hey hey
Hey hey
That's freedom you hear
Comin' right to your ear
That's the sound from our bus
Hey hey
[Samantha slaps fives with those along the aisle, walking slowly toward the ring, then around
it, continuing to greet the fans.]
Hey!
[Tolson pumps her right hand, balled into a fist, into the air in time with the chant.]
Hey!
[And does it a second time on the second chant.]
Why try to be like someone else
When you can only be yourself
No one can sing the song you do
Be true be legendary you
So I won't sell out
Even if the whole world
Thinks I'm crazy
[Samantha finally makes her way to ringside, leaping from a flat-footed stance on the floor
straight onto the apron, then slingshots herself into the ring as the announcer makes his announcement.]
Announcer: “Coming to the ring/And her opponent….she is from Jefferson City, Missouri….the first female graduate of Camp Nightfall...standing five feet six inches tall and weighing in this
morning at one-hundred fifty-eight pounds….she is….”NO GIMMICKS NEEDED” SAMANTHA TOLSON!!!
So hey hey
This song is for us
So put your hands in the air
If you're crazy like us
Hey hey
Hey hey
That's freedom you hear
Comin' right to your ear
That's the sound from our bus
Hey hey
[The rock anthem begins to fade out as Samantha stretches on the ropes, awaiting the bell.]
Wrestling Styles:
Samantha is a technical wrestler at her core, but through multiple trips to Japan has honed her striking ability to a very high level. A couple of trips to Mexico have also allowed her to add some high-flying moves to her arsenal.
Strengths and Weaknesses: (used for match writing)
Strengths:
Training: Samantha was trained at Camp Nightfall by an 8-time World Champion, ‘Nightbringer’ Ryan Corey, and as such has an extremely solid mat wrestling background...including a vast knowledge of suplexes. She will rarely get outwrestled by anyone. She has also spent time in Japan to learn better striking and kicking, and in Mexico, learning some of the Lucha Libre style, and has incorporated it into her overall approach.
Toughness: Samantha is country-strong, and country-tough, meaning that despite her look, she is a lot stronger than she seems at first glance, and can absorb an extremely high degree of punishment in the ring. She never backs down from a fight, ever, and will take on all comers.
Attitude: Samantha knows that she’s a neophyte in terms of career longetivity, so she’s come to accept that there’s going to be some bumps in the road, and she’s going to probably lose matches she thinks she should win. She tends to keep her head up regardless of result, and has developed some coping mechanisms for those times when her dauber does get down. One thing that sometimes sets Samantha apart from her fellow competitors is her party-girl attitude outside the ring. She is openly bisexual, and when not training or wrestling is as free-minded a spirit as you’ll find. When it’s time to get to work, however, she turns into a bit of a machine, only allowing herself to think of the task at hand.
Weaknesses:
Experience: Samantha has only been a professional wrestler for around a year, so she’s still learning the ropes a bit. She can fall prey to heelish tactics and more advanced ring psychology.
Focus: While she is very focused on her opponent, she’s also susceptible to outside interference and general in-match skullduggery. She believes in giving her opponent(s) all she has but in a fair and straight-forward fashion, and sometimes that mindset leaves her open to some of the foolishness and mayhem a good heel brings to the table.
Toughness: While this is most certainly one of her strengths, it’s also a weakness, because Samantha is well-aware of exactly how tough she is. That can, at times, lead her to bite off more than one woman can realistically chew, and it also lends itself to her taking risks and beatings that she could avoid.
Favourite Moves:
Suplexes, suplexes, suplexes
Standard/Japanese arm drag
Headlock (with a takeover if appropriate)
Fireman’s carry
Stiff kicks and forearms
Dropkick (can be done in a springboard version)
Knife-edge chops (will do them machine-gun style in the corner)
Snap DDT
Lariat
Moonsault
Various dives to the outside
Trademark Moves:
Oda a México (Ode to Mexico) - Done to an opponent outside the ring, Samantha goes to the top and flips off with a twisting somersault attack
Nihon e no ōdo (Ode to Japan) - Samantha traps her opponent in the corner and systematically but rapidly breaks her victim down with hard kicks from both legs.
Nightfall - Kata Hajime Suplex (Tazmissionplex)
Finishing Moves:
Victory Drop Alpha - Trapper Keeper Bomb by Wild Boar
Victory Drop Gamma - Hart Destroyer by Teddy Hart
Desperation Finisher: (Rarely used, and usually only in big/title matches)
Victory Drop Omega - Victory Star Drop by Manami Toyota
