The TV is on, and a live MMA event is on. Watching the TV is Vossler in one chair, and on the couch is Jolon Stevenson. It appears that Jolon had invited Vossler over to watch the event. There are a few beers empty on the table and two pizzas for the two men. Suddenly they both get to their feet cheering as one fighter on screen is slammed down to the mat by the other knocking them out.
Vossler: "BOOYAH MOTHERFUCKER! That's 50 in the bag of dicks you'll be feasting on later!"
Jolon is standing in shock with his hands in his hair, before sinking his hand into his pocket and throwing a 50 dollar note at Vossler. And then sinks down into the couch like a sack of potatoes defeated.
Jolon: "Whatever... next one will win me back my buck. You always go for the under dog."
Vossler: "Hah, damn right. I love underdogs. 'cus of shit like this."
Jolon can't help but make a snarky comment.
Jolon: "Whatever you say. You just like it 'cus people don't think you're winning against Jones either. Mister Underdog."
Vossler: "Yeah? You one of those people? You think I'm not good enough to beat Alex Jones?"
Jolon: "I have some doubts."
Vossler falls quiet for a second with a frown.
Vossler: "What the hell? What're you talking about?"
Jolon: "I'm doubting you can repeat what you did in Brutal Force. It was by pure luck that your match with Shane Mann just happened to become for the Carnage title. Sure, you lost the first match 'cus you were having fun more than you were trying to make an impression. I get that, it happens. But last week wasn't for fun. Your tenure in Valentine's been anything but fun so far. You're getting heat just by being there. Just by the simple things you do and say. People hate your guts for the simple reason that... well. Let's be honest. You're a loudmouth."
Vossler scoffs with a grin on his face.
Vossler: "That's true... go on."
Jolon: "In BFW, you asked for a rematch and you got it. For the same title, bam. You became one of the most well respected champions there. So your arrogance there made sense in a way. Here? Not so much. All your loud mouth has gotten you so far is... well. A match you lost versus Amok. And now a match versus Alex Jones. You know I don't believe in repeats and lightning striking twice. I don't doubt your skill as a competitor. You're one of the best competitors I've ever seen, you know that. Very few match your in-ring ability and awareness. You're probably years ahead of your time in terms of experience since you wrestle like you've been in this business three times as long as you have, but Jones is no pushover either. And just because of that lightning doesn't strike twice stuff... I'm giving him the edge."
Vossler sighs and shakes his head.
Vossler: "Some manager you are. Dick."
Jolon: "Hey, you asked me for the truth. I gave you it fair and square."
A relatively new fighter makes his entrance on the flat screen TV.
Jolon: "See, that guy? Renowned wrestler turned fighter. Turned against the authorities as well and is now trying his luck in MMA. One win into his career and he's facing the champion in his second fight. You chose him, right?"
Vossler: "I got some money 'em, yeah."
Several minutes pass as we watch the fight happen with the two. The fighter that Vossler has his money on ended up losing. He is clearly disappointed as the 50 dollar note that was left on the table is picked up again by Jolon who has a smirk a mile wide on his face.
Vossler: "Ah, fuck. Whatever, he sucked anyway. In wrestling and now in MMA. Pulled all his punches, never went for takedowns."
Jolon: "There ya go. Lightning didn't strike twice for him either. Just like I told you waht would happen."
Vossler: "Do you seriously have 0 confidence in me winning or something?"
Jolon: "I'm 49 to 51, you being 49 on that one. Tipped the scales against your favour. Lightning odds, brother. Maybe you can prove me wrong, who knows."
Vossler: "Asshole. You know what, if I win you're shaving that goddamn beard off. You look like a teenager."
Jolon: "No chance in hell. This thing is staying right where it is."
Vossler shakes his head as we fade out of Jolon's home.

We get a panning shot of the T-Mobile Arena showing off all it's glory. Then we fade into a shot inside the arena, as the audience lets themselves be heard while the Titantron plays a live feed from backstage. It's Kenny Stevens in a scene fit for an interview. He looks into the camera with a smile.
Kenny: "Thank you everyone for joining. My guest tonight, the man who faces the world champion Alex Jones later tonight... Philippe Vossler Chiari. Vossler, welcome."
The camera pans over to see Vossler sitting opposite of Kenny with a smile.
Vossler: "Thanks for having me, Kenny. Call me Voss, it's easier."
Kenny smiles, his normally nervous self being a bit more comfortable now.
Kenny: "Tonight you face Alex Jones as everyone is aware by now."
Vossler: "Correct. We've been fairly vocal over this."
Kenny: "But before we get into that, I'd like to talk about your previous business associations."
A sigh from the man facing the champion.
Vossler: "Go on then."
Kenny: "Right... so your previous ties with Brutal Force Wrestling have been cut entirely. However we still see a lot of mentioning on your Twitter. Why is this?"
Vossler: "I'd answer... but I'm really certain my comments would end up redacted and this segment would be taken off of future tapings."
Kenny pauses for a moment. Then shakes it off and continues.
Kenny: "Well... that cuts the interview short I think. But next question then."
Vossler: "Shoot."
Kenny: "Why Valentine?"
It's Vossler's turn to be quiet for a moment. He is clearly thinking.
Vossler: "Every time I see a champion... who is still very good in-ring and has a lot of charisma get protected the way he does whilst nobody is really trying to break that glass ceiling? To actually challenge him? I know Avery is trying but Avery Miles is not me. I think that is very, very clear. I am better than Avery Miles. Miles better, if you want to make a pun out of it. I am miles better than Jones as well. I didn't prove that last week against Amok, I will admit he beat me. Shenanigans... sure. But the record books will say I lost regardless. An off-day happens. And every time people predict the result of myself versus Jones, my loss vs Amok is nearly instrumental in their predictions. I say I'll beat the odds tonight, and I will do so by beating Jones."
Kenny nods, satisfied with the answers.
Kenny: "You two have been very vocal, along with Ana Jones, about your rivalry. While it is not his main focus with his upcoming bout with Avery Miles for Wargames. What is your beef with Jones and also, minorly with Avery?"
Vossler: "Avery is in the way. The two Jones... one of them is the boss of this company. The other is the main representing champion. That just reeks of corruption... and if there's something that I have always taken care of, pointed out and challenged in other companies it's corrupt management. This is just another one of them. Ana has quietly protected Alex for far too long. It's about someone stepped in and took care of this, and took out Jones. Or in the very least, take that title away from him. I am the man that can do it, and when the opportunities arrives... I will."
Kenny: "And last but not least, what makes you better than Jones?"
That question gets a laugh out of Vossler and Kenny can't help but smile as well.
Vossler: "Anything I could say now would be open to interpretation so let's not answer that. I could say I'm a better wrestler, better spokesman, more of an icon... far more successful than he is and all that. But all of that is an opinion based view. Let's not get those mixed up. Jones is an excellent wrestler, but he's not me. I'm better than him, and I get the chance to prove just that I am tonight. Let's hope that he doesn't use a cheap tactic to pull off a win. Or like Amok, get someone to distract the opponent he's facing... a very challenging one at that. Alex should be better than that but nowadays, we don't really know what to expect do we?"
Kenny turns back to the camera.
Kenny: "Well, that is all the questions I had for the man for now. Thank you Voss for taking the time out of your preparation to answer them."
Vossler: "Always a pleasure, never a joy."
Kenny: "We hope you enjoy the rest of the show, later on tonight you will see Vossler in action versus Alex Jones!"
The crowd cheers, the titantron turns off, and the frame fades into the next segment.
